I came across this video on Facebook a while back and thought that is was definitely an important one to share. Not solely in regards to the campaign against prop 8 that it’s supporting, but more so just to see some empowering images of LGBTQ people. Given the incredibly high number of gay related suicides of this past year, I think that it crucial to have a video upon which LGBTQ members are taking a stand instead of being portrayed solely as victims.

ReplyDeleteI think that this message is very strong, but kindddd of abrasive. I mean, it’s an effective way to make people angry unless they are already on the FCKH8 side. If the purpose of this ad is to be “in your face” to create controversy, then sure, rock on. But if this ad is supposed to convince people to support same-sex marriage who are not already in that camp, I don’t think it is/will be very effective.
